Recreation/Entertainment
he Roanoke River and Albemarle Sound offer fishing, paddling, motor boating, boat racing, sailing, skiing and swimming. Land-based options include hunting, biking, bird watching, gardening and more. Eastern North Carolina is a great place to enjoy all four seasons!

Plymouth takes part in the county’s organized recreation program and offers activities for all ages. Try softball, baseball, football, soccer and more. Washington County Cooperative Extension also sponsors a variety of activities for children and adults.  

Enjoy a number of cultural and educational programs offered through the Washington County Arts Council, The Port ‘O Plymouth Museum, the Christine Meyers Memorial Community Players of Plymouth, and other groups.
