God's Creation Wildlife Museum
Location: 111 West Water Street, Downtown Plymouth, NC
An integral part of Washington County's Wild Side, this museum offers mounts from across the United States, Africa and eastern North Carolina. Many are in interactive settings that offer hands-on experiences for learning.

Discover more about three of eastern North Carolina's predators —the red wolf, the coyote and the fox. See a 500 lb. bear from nearby Hyde County as well as pronghorn antelope and mule deer from the Rocky Mountain west. Learn about Alaskan wildlife and get a close look at moose, record-book sheep, and caribou. African species are here, too!

At the Touch Table, your fingers can explore the subtle differences between hides of beaver, otter and muskrat and the not-so-subtle differences between black bear and rabbit while you discover interesting facts about these and many more animals.

Take a quiz and test your "critter" knowledge. What large female mammal has antlers? What is the only animal in the world than annually sheds its horns? You might be surprised!

Go on an African Odyssey in another of the museum's exciting galleries. See a variety of African antelope species, from large to small. Discover the "Big Five" most dangerous African animals! Learn about snakes and hear hair-raising stories.

Open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Admission: $2.00
